- The sausages are fried on all sides in hot fat until they are crispy.
- Then take it out of the pan.
- Let the onions brown lightly in the fat. Deglaze with beer and water.
- Add the quartered bay leaf, clove, lemon wedge, salt, mustard and Worcester sauce.
- Bring everything to the boil briefly and then put the sausages back in the pan.
- Braise the sausages for 15-20 minutes on a low heat and with the pan closed.
- Then remove the bay leaf, the clove and the lemon wedge from the pan and put the sausages aside on a plate.
- Slightly thicken the sauce with a flour that has been stirred into a little water.
- Then serve with boiled potatoes and vegetables of your choice.
- We like to eat kohlrabi in Dutch sauce or rose or red cabbage.
