Preheat the oven to 200 ° C. Mix the flour with baking powder, salt and sugar in a bowl, then add the butter in pieces and knead as if you were making crumble.
Then add the raisins (you can omit), milk and sour cream and best knead the dough with your hands. Add enough flour until the dough barely sticks (this can be quite a lot, but not surprising, this is normal).
Form balls with floured hands (approx. 5 cm in diameter), place on a baking sheet and press flat so that they are still approx. 2 cm thick. You can also form a roll and cut off slices that have the same dimensions.
Let stand for 10 minutes, put in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes. Then let it cool down briefly and, while still warm, spread whipped cream, mascarpone, cream cheese or butter and jam and enjoy. Or serve traditionally with clotted cream and jam.
