Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff. Add the softened butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and quark to the egg yolk. Mix the baking powder with the semolina, add and mix everything together well. Now carefully fold in the egg whites.
Wash the selected fruit and, if necessary, stone, peel and cut into pieces.
Place a third of the dough in a greased baking dish, then spread the fruit on this layer of dough (if it is very acidic, sprinkle some sugar over it) and put the rest of the dough on the fruit. Spread the almond flakes and butter flakes on top.
Bake the casserole in a preheated oven at 175 degrees top / bottom heat for one hour.
The casserole tastes very good warm and cold.
Tip: If you like, you can add a little cinnamon to the dough or to the fruit.
