Drain the cherries, collecting the juice. Mix the custard powder with the vanilla sugar and stir in 6 tablespoons of juice until smooth. Bring the remaining cherry juice to the boil and remove from the stove. Stir in the mixed pudding powder and simmer for about a minute while stirring. Add the cherries to the thickened juice. Bring the milk, 40 g sugar, vanilla pulp and butter to the boil. Remove the pan from the stove and sprinkle in the semolina while stirring. Bring to the boil while stirring and cover and let soak for about five minutes.
Separate the egg in time. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff and pour in the remaining 20 g of sugar. Stir the egg yolks into the mash and then fold in the egg whites.
