Instructions

  1. Cut the bacon and the thick rib into small strips. Halve the mini Cabanossi, quarter the halves. Peel and slice the celery. Cut the slices into strips and the strips into cubes. Peel the onions and cut into fine cubes. Wash the leek, remove the root and cut the leek into slices.
  2. Heat the oil and butter in a saucepan. Fry the onion in it and add the bacon. Dust both with the paprika powder and deglaze with the tomatoes. Add the white beans, the broad rib and the cabanossi. Stir in the tomato paste and add the leek and celery. Pour some water. The soup shouldn`t be too thin, but neither should it be as thick as a pudding. Season the bean soup with the herbs and spices and simmer slowly for about 45 minutes.
