Instructions

  1. It is best to pound the garlic cloves with a pinch of salt in a mortar and mix with the minced meat. Then add the salt, pepper and rose paprika (if you like, you can use hot chili powder) and knead well. Finally add the baking powder, this will make the cevapcici nice and loose. Continue kneading for about 5 minutes (like dough), shape the meat balls a little larger than table tennis balls and then shape them into a roll. Let the cevapcici steep for at least 2 hours before grilling - but they can also be fried in the pan.
