Instructions

  1. As a cooking device, you need a casserole dish, if possible with a lid (alternatively cover with aluminum foil).
  2. Briefly toast the turkey breast strips on all sides in a pan with a little butter, then season with salt, pepper and set aside. Now roast the onion cubes in the pan until translucent. After 3-4 minutes add the pepper strips and fry them for another 2-3 minutes. Now add the meat to the vegetable mixture and mix everything together well.
  3. Pour half of the vegetable-meat mixture into the buttered casserole dish. Sprinkle the rice on top. Dust the rice with the paprika before covering it with the second half of the vegetable and meat mixture. Baste the whole thing with the meat broth. Now close the lid or cover the mold with aluminum foil. Bake in the oven for approx. 45-60 minutes at 180 ° C. After this time, the rice has soaked up the liquid and is cooked, but still firm to the bite. Now take the pilaf out of the oven and stir in the cheese and tomato paste. Fresh baguette and a crunchy salad go well with it.
