The cucumber salad must steep for at least 3 hours.
Peel cucumbers with a cucumber slicer or cut into slices by hand. Clean the onion and cut into thin rings. Place the cucumber and onions in a bowl with a lid. Add the vinegar and spices and shake vigorously. Place in the refrigerator for 3 hours and shake at least 2 more times in between.
The salad then has a lot of sauce and in this it also lasts a little longer than normal cucumber salad.
