A delicious recipe that I brought with me from the USA and which we have at least once a month for a cozy evening on the sofa. For less than 4 people, just reduce the amount of shrimp, as the sauce is also very tasty just with baguette straight from the pan.
Devein the shrimp. In the meantime I`ve started to cut it in half for a long time. In addition, it just looks better how they then curl in the pan.
Halve the garlic cloves and then cut into very fine slices. Heat slowly in a large pan with the olive oil, bay leaves and chilli. The longer, the better, but it should be so little heat that the garlic does not turn brown, for about 10 minutes.
Turn up the heat and stir in the shrimp, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 4 - 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp are just good. Then pour in the sherry and lemon juice, heat briefly, remove from the heat and stir in the parsley.
