Instructions

  1. Batter:
  2. First beat only the fat + sugar until creamy, stir in the eggs one by one. Mix the spices + baking powder with the flour. Mix in flour alternately with milk. The result should be a dough that falls heavily from the whisk.
  3. Streusel:
  4. Melt the butter, mix the dry ingredients well and then knead in the cooled butter.
  5. Tip: Instead of the 200 g flour you can also use 100 g flour + 100 g ground nuts or almonds.
  6. Spread the dough on the greased tray (e.g. with a moist dough card). Spread the sprinkles on top. Bake for about 30 (35?) Minutes at approx. 200 ° C (probably around 180 ° C with convection) until it has risen nicely and is golden brown. When cool, cut into pieces and remove from the tray.
  7. If you want, you can brush or spray the cake with a little milk before baking - then the crumble will be less noisy. You can also knead 2-6 tablespoons of milk under the crumble dough - with the same result.
  8. This cake can also be baked with suitable fruit (apples, cherries, apricots, ) - simply clean / chunky / pitted between the dough + crumble. You can also sprinkle flaked almonds over the cake (with or without fruit) and bake them for the last 15-20 minutes. Those who love it particularly buttery can brush the finished cake with melted butter while it is still hot. Then you could also sprinkle sugar (or cinnamon sugar or vanilla sugar) on top.
  9. We love this crumble cake! Because it just turns out nice and crunchy - and tastes super delicious even after 1-2 days. If there is still something there.
