- Heat the milk, add 2 tablespoons of sugar and the rum and pour half of the warm milk over the poppy seeds. Mix in the raisins and almonds.
- Heat the rest of the milk again, add 2 tablespoons of sugar and drizzle over the white bread. It should be soft, but not disintegrated.
- Now layer the poppy seed porridge and the white bread alternately in a bowl, ending with a layer of poppy seeds. Let the mixture cool down.
