Let the fat get hot in the pan and add the diced bacon. Fry over a mild heat until the cubes have turned yellow. Add the diced onions and turn everything to a nice, light brown color.
Tastes excellent with jacket potatoes or mashed potatoes.
For a sweet and sour bacon sauce, 2 tablespoons of flour are roasted until the mixture has turned light brown. Then fill up with 1-2 cups of broth and season with salt & pepper, a large pinch of sugar and carefully, gradually, with approx. 1 tablespoon of vinegar.
