Instructions

  1. Beat eggs with water and sugar for a few minutes until very frothy. Mix the flour with the baking powder and the ground walnuts and stir in. Halve the dough.
  2. Mix the cocoa powder with the rum and pour this mixture into one of the two halves of the dough.
  3. Now alternately place the dough in the middle of a prepared cake tin (like with the zebra cake).
  4. Bake in the preheated oven at 160 ° C for approx. 15 minutes.
  5. Additional information: This is a small sponge cake. If you would like a high sponge cake base, I would recommend making double the mass (the baking time is then correspondingly longer). Then fill the dough with a small ladle instead of a spoon.
