Cut the tomatoes into strips, this is best done with scissors. Pour 400 ml of hot water over it and let it steep. Peel the onion and garlic, finely dice separately. Pat the meat dry and cut into strips.
Fry in 2 tablespoons of hot oil. Fry the garlic and onions briefly. Sweat the tomato paste with it. Season with salt, pepper and paprika. Deglaze with tomatoes, soaking water and cream.
Bring to the boil and simmer covered for 6 - 8 minutes. Sprinkle with basil. Season the strips to taste. Rösti or pasta and salad go well with this.
