Instructions

  1. Put the butter in small flakes in the flour. Add powdered sugar, grated lemon zest and egg yolk and quickly knead into a dough.
  2. Let the dough rest in a cold place and then roll it out thinly with flour.
  3. Cut out hearts.
  4. Beat egg whites until stiff and finally mix in powdered sugar with a spoon.
  5. Brush the hearts with the egg whites.
  6. Place on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet and bake until golden yellow over medium heat.
  7. Combine the cooled hearts with jam or jam so that the egg white faces outwards.
