Cut the onions and the sausage into small cubes and fry them. Put in a large saucepan or fry both components in the saucepan.
Cut the pickles and paprika into small cubes and add them together with the cucumber and paprika liquid. Fill up with tomato ketchup and let everything boil briefly (approx. 20 min.).
Let steep for a day, warm up and serve with sour cream and lemon wedge if necessary.
