Many people know this traditional dish of Russian cuisine. Some hodgepodge is cooked on smoked ribs, others – on meat broth. We suggest evaluating the recipe for a quick hodgepodge on smoked sausage.
We put a pot of water to boil, throw in two bay leaves. Peel and dice the potatoes. As the water boils – add the potatoes.
Chop the onion. Cut the carrots into small cubes.
We cut the sausage.
We cut the cucumbers.
Simmer the onion in a little oil. Add carrots first, then sausage and cucumbers. Fill with tomato paste, add seasoning, and paprika. Simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes.
Pour the mass into a saucepan. Cook for about 10 more minutes.
