Cook the spaghetti with salt and a little olive oil in plenty of water until al dente. Have a large (warm) spaghetti serving bowl ready.
In the meantime, let the butter melt in a saucepan over low heat. Turn off the heat. Add olive oil (plenty - never be stingy!), Garlic, pepper, pine nuts, possibly chilli peppers and parmesan. Just before the spaghetti is ready, cut the basil into small pieces with a sharp knife and add it to the sauce. Pour the finished sauce into the serving bowl, add the spaghetti on top, sprinkle some olive oil over the whole thing again and mix well until you can see the basil and pine nuts evenly distributed all over the place.
Serve right away.
In addition, some mixed salad, some freshly baked bread and a good glass of wine. A very simple recipe with a lot of taste.
