First of all: Use a coffee cup with a capacity of approx. 250 ml.
Let the raisins soak in the cup with water.
Put the butter in a saucepan and let it melt. Add the rice pudding and let it glaze slightly. Then add the milk, then the nuts (if you don`t like whole nuts, you can also chop them or use sliced almonds). Add the raisins and spices and bring everything to a boil. Lower the temperature and simmer gently until there is no more liquid.
A fresh fruit salad or compote goes well with it.
Tips:
It tastes particularly good when I add a cup more milk, the rice then becomes creamier and then a dollop of whipped cream on each serving.
I like to use trail mix for this recipe, as it usually contains several types of nuts and raisins.
