Instructions

  1. Separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites until stiff and set aside.
  2. Add margarine, xylitol, salt, vanilla sugar and baking powder to the egg yolks and stir until creamy. Then stir in the Cremefine, it splatters less. Gradually add the cornstarch and flour and stir well. Fold in the egg whites.
  3. Set a waffle iron to the highest setting. Do not bake the waffles too thick and then place them on a sieve to cool. When they cool down, they become nice and crispy.
  4. Sprinkle the waffles with sugar and / or serve with cream, fruit or ice cream.
  5. I came up with the recipe for my husband who is diabetic. The xylitol and spelled flour keep his blood sugar level within limits and he can eat an extra waffle from time to time.
