Instructions

  1. Mix the flours together in a bowl. Warm the buttermilk with the honey slightly, then dissolve the yeast in it. Put the salt, butter and buttermilk with yeast in the flour bowl and knead with the dough hook for a few minutes, in the last few minutes add the walnuts. Do not knead the dough for too long, as spelled doesn`t like that. Cover the dough in a bowl in a warm place and let it rise for about 1 hour until the volume has visibly increased.
  2. Take the dough out of the bowl and shape into any loaf. Cover and let rise again for 25 minutes on a prepared baking sheet.
  3. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 200 ° C top / bottom heat.
  4. Spray the loaf of bread with water and place in the preheated oven. Bake for 15 minutes. Then reduce the temperature to 180 ° C and bake for another 40 minutes.
