Instructions

  1. For the dough, stir together the butter, honey and vanilla sugar until frothy. Add the egg and keep stirring. Stir in the ground spelled and baking powder.
  2. Peel the apples for the filling. Remove the core and cut the apples into small pieces. Add the sunflower seeds (doesn`t have to be), cinnamon and sugar. Mash the almond flakes a little in your hand and mix all the ingredients of the filling together.
  3. Place half of the batter on the bottom of a 26 cm or 28 cm diameter springform pan. Layer the filling on top and spread the rest of the dough on top (this works better if you moisten your hands a little and smooth them out with your hands).
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 170 ° C for about 60 minutes.
  5. The cake tastes best freshly baked - if you eat it on the same day.
