Instructions

  1. Wash the meat, pat dry and cut into fine strips. Peel and chop the garlic. Mix both with oil and gyros seasoning salt. Place in the refrigerator for 2 - 3 hours.
  2. Fry the meat vigorously in portions for approx. 10 minutes in the seasoning oil. Turn around from time to time. Let cool and pour the cream over it. Chill overnight.
  3. Peel the onions and cut into rings. Clean and wash the peppers and cut into strips.
  4. Heat the fat in a large saucepan. Sauté the onions and peppers in it and then deglaze with the water. Bring to the boil, stir in the soup powder. Add the sauce, cheese and thyme. Let simmer for about 10 minutes. Add the gyros to the soup. Cook well again and season to taste.
