Mix the ingredients for the marinade together well. Put the meat in a zip freezer bag and add the marinade. Close the bag and mix the marinade well with the meat. This can be done by turning the bag or from the outside with your hands. Marinate in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight.
Then stick the pieces of meat on soaked wooden skewers. Grill the skewers over direct medium to high heat with the lid closed for 10 minutes, turning several times. The skewers should have clear grill marks on the outside.
Serve with tzatziki and Greek salad.
If you prefer it less spicy, you can of course reduce the amount of chilli.
