Instructions

  1. Peel and grate the potatoes (as for potato pancakes). Peel the onion and cut into small cubes.
  2. Mix the grated potatoes and the chopped onion with the flour, eggs and diced ham. Fill the dough into a cake tin - either lined with baking paper or greased (I personally use a silicone form that does not need to be greased).
  3. Clean the peppers, cut into cubes and spread on the floor. Cut the sheep`s cheese into cubes and also put on the bottom. Sprinkle the whole with grated cheese and put in the oven.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven at 200 ° C for about 50-60 minutes. Serve hot.
  5. Tip: If the potato mixture is refined with herbs such as oregano, marjoram, basil, then it becomes even more aromatic - I have already prepared the whole meatless without ham and refined it with several herbs and spices. A delicious dish for vegetarians too.
  6. Also suitable as a warm starter for a menu - the cake can be cut into approx. 12-16 pieces, depending on the shape.
