Mix the spice ingredients well with the vinegar, then add the ketchup and oil. Beat the mixture with the whisk until everything is well mixed and creamy.
Chill well and pour over the salad portions. The sauce can be made in advance. It can be kept in the refrigerator for a good 1 week, shake or stir before use.
The sauce tastes good with any kind of fresh salad, potato or chicory salad.
Seasoned with rose paprika and tabasco, the sauce becomes a devil sauce.
