Instructions

  1. Finely grate the apples. Separate eggs. Beat the egg whites until stiff. Beat soft butter with sugar, vanilla sugar and egg yolk until frothy. Mix flour with baking powder and stir into the egg yolk mixture. Stir in the finely grated apples, along with the chocolate shavings. Finally, carefully fold in the egg whites.
  2. Line a loaf pan with baking paper and pour the mixture into it.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake for about 70 minutes on the 2nd rack from the bottom. Use a wooden stick to check that the cake is ready.
  4. Let the cake cool down and coat with glaze.
