Instructions

  1. Mix the cream cheese well with a hand mixer, then fold in the finely diced onion. Since the mass is quite firm, I loosen the whole thing up with a dash of milk (the amount varies depending on the desired consistency) - but be careful: only mix small amounts of milk with the cream cheese, otherwise it will quickly become too runny becomes.
  2. After everything is well mixed, season the mixture properly with the paprika powder and salt and season to taste. The taste of the paprika powder should come out well and the mixture should have a slightly salty note. The slightly reddish color that the cheese takes on from the paprika powder may serve as a measure.
  3. Once everything is well mixed, I smooth the surface and spread the chives over it.
  4. Tastes great as a dip with vegetables such as peppers and cucumber, also great to combine with baked potatoes. Or simply enjoy on a baguette.
