- Prepare food. I took frozen peeled squid. First, you need to defrost them.
- Chop the garlic finely. Sauté the garlic and chili peppers in olive oil for 3-5 minutes.
- Pour wine into a pan, bring to a boil.
- Add chopped tomatoes in your own juice. Bring to a boil and simmer for 1-2 minutes.
- Pour boiling water over the squid and put it in cold water after 30-40 seconds. Peel off the film and remove the chitin plate.
- Cut the squid into rings or strips 0.5-1 cm thick.
- Add finely chopped parsley to a skillet with tomato sauce.
- Place the sliced squid in the sauce.
- Simmer the squid in tomato sauce for 3-4 minutes. Do not overdo it as the squid can become hard and rubbery.
- Stewed squid in spicy tomato sauce are ready!
Squid in tomato sauce can be served as an appetizer, on bread crackers, or with any side dish such as boiled rice.
