- Wash and clean the mushrooms and chanterelles. Then halve the mushrooms. Peel and finely dice the onion. Wash and chop the thyme.
- Fry the mushrooms and onion vigorously in a pan. Season with salt and pepper. Deglaze with water and cream and simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Fry the steaks vigorously on each side in another hot pan. Season with salt and pepper. Then fry for 3-6 minutes to the end.
- Scatter sauce thickener into the sauce. Bring to the boil again and season to taste.
- Serve the steaks with the mushroom cream and garnish with fresh herbs.
- Rösti go well with it.
