Peel the stewed cucumbers from top to bottom. Then cut the cucumbers in half and remove the seeds with a tablespoon. Then cut into 2 cm thick strips and dice the onions and bacon.
Now sauté the bacon in a saucepan with a little oil until translucent, add the onions and let it tarnish. Add the cucumbers and stew covered for 20-30 minutes (depending on the size of the cucumbers).
Season to taste with a pinch of salt, sugar and a dash of vinegar. Mix the cornstarch in a cup with a little water and pour into the saucepan shot by shot until the sauce is creamy. Boiled potatoes taste good with it.
