Put the cleaned and cut strawberries with the sugar in a high saucepan with a thick bottom and stir. Let stand a little so that the strawberries leave a lot of juice. Add the lemon peel, the juice and the vanilla extract with 50 ml of vodka. Likewise, the chopped marzipan.
Heat the mixture, after about 2 minutes keep stirring with the hand blender and at the same time puree everything well until no more pieces of marzipan can be seen. Cook for about 4 minutes.
Pour into twist-off glasses and allow to cool. Store in the dark. Instead of vanilla extract, you can also use vanilla powder or leave out the vanilla completely.
