Instructions

  1. Whenever we catch a pack of strawberries that are rather disappointing in taste - a lot of optics, but little strawberry taste - we make strawberry compote out of them. This often happens with the first fruits of the season, which are still too sour for us or simply not particularly intense in taste. The idea is simple: compensate for the missing aroma with sweetness.
  2. The quantities given above are only rough values. Simply dice the strawberries and place in a bowl. Then pour in about enough milk until most of it is covered and only a small mountain of strawberry pieces is sticking out.
  3. Tip: And so that the milk becomes even fatter, we add approx. 4 servings of condensed milk to the milk. Not a must, but it tastes very good.
  4. Then add 1 to 3 tablespoons of sugar, depending on your taste. You have to vote on the strawberries. Some need more sugar, some less.
  5. Then stir. Ideally, the strawberry compote should now stand for an hour so that the strawberries can draw juice. Stir again in between.
  6. Now you have a fruity and delicious strawberry compote to spoon. The strawberry milk, which is created by the sugar and the fruit, is to put in. So there will never be disappointed faces again if the strawberries you buy don`t taste that good: Simply make a strawberry compote with milk and sugar.
