Wash the strawberries, cut in half and sprinkle with sugar as required. Beat the egg yolks with 6 tablespoons of sugar and the vanilla sugar until frothy, stir in the cognac and season with nutmeg. Whip the cream until stiff and fold it into the egg foam mixture. Divide the strawberries in 6 glasses, spoon the cream over them and rub fresh black pepper and nutmeg over them. Garnish with the chocolate shavings.
