Wash and puree the strawberries, coarsely chop the chocolate. Bring the strawberries and preserving sugar to the boil in a large saucepan while stirring. Cook over high heat while stirring for at least 3 minutes. Just before the end of the cooking time, stir in the chocolate. Pour hot into glasses and close tightly.
