- Mix the flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, salt and cinnamon (amount as desired) in a bowl thoroughly.
- Melt the butter and let it cool down a bit. Then mix well with the sugar, the egg, sour cream and the milk in a second bowl.
- Add the liquid ingredients to the flour mixture and stir in briefly until the dry ingredients are just moist.
- Preheat the oven to 190 degrees, fill the muffin cups 2/3 full and bake for about 20 minutes.
- Melt some butter and let cool down a bit. In a second bowl, make a mixture of sugar and cinnamon (again, amount to taste).
- Then dip the completely cooled muffins with the heads in the melted butter and then immediately in the sugar-cinnamon mixture. Finished!!
- The muffins have been very popular with friends and relatives for years and they don`t just taste good at Christmas.
