Instructions

  1. Remove the outer leaves from the sugar loaf. Divide the head in the middle and cut both halves very finely. Soak the cut lettuce in warm water, this will make it lose its bitterness.
  2. For the marinade, mix together the salt, sugar, vinegar and oil. Slice the apple and carrot into fine pens and add to the marinade. Finally mix in the sugar loaf vigorously.
