Peel the cucumber striped (zebra pattern) and cut or slice very thinly. Sprinkle the cucumbers in a bowl with salt (approx. 2 teaspoons) and let stand for 15 minutes. Cut the onion into small cubes.
In the meantime, stir together sour cream and lemon juice. Add salt, pepper and sugar, season to taste (we like it sweet and sour), chop the washed dill and stir in onion cubes (to taste). Then wring out the cucumbers (preferably by hand) and add them to the dressing. Let cool before serving.
