Instructions

  1. For 4-6 people as a main course, for up to 8-10 people as a starter.
  2. Work the flour with butter, salt, egg and possibly a little cold water into a smooth dough. Shape into a ball, wrap in foil and let rest in the refrigerator for ½ to 1 hour.
  3. Mix the minced meat with chopped parsley, salt, pepper, breadcrumbs, 2 eggs, the chopped onion and add enough milk (about 125 ml) to make the mixture not too soft. Roll out the dough into a square on a little flour. Shape the meat mixture on the dough into a flat flatbread.
  4. Wrap the sausages in one slice of cheese each. Place the sausages wrapped in the cheese slices in the center of the minced meat patties and roll the meat into a roll. Wrap the meat roll in the dough like a packet. Glue the ends with the beaten egg. Prick the dough several times with a fork. Decorate the pate with strips, rosettes and the like from leftover batter. (Glue on with the beaten egg). Brush again with beaten egg and fry in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 45 minutes until crispy.
  5. Side dish: various salads.
  6. Tip: The surprise roll can be served hot and cold.
