Instructions

  1. Prepare the couscous according to the instructions on the packet. Then fluff with a fork and stir in the olive oil and lemon juice.
  2. Clean or peel or wash spring onions, peppers, tomatoes, cucumber and herbs and cut very finely. Now add everything together with the drained raisins to the cooled couscous and mix.
  3. Note: It would be ideal if the salad could sit well for a few hours or overnight before consumption, but this is not absolutely necessary.
  4. This salad is quick and easy to make and is particularly suitable for hot summer days, e.g. as a side dish to grilled or oriental buffets.
  5. In a well-closing food storage container, it can remain edible for a few days if it is well cooled. So it is also well suited as travel provisions, for a picnic or as a party treat that has been prepared in good time.
  6. Tip: If you like it more hearty, you can also add very finely chopped and spicy roasted poultry meat under the taboule.
