We prefer to use ready-made tarte flambée bases. If you want, you can of course make the dough yourself.
The crème frâiche is coated on the bottom, and a little salt and pepper are poured over it. Cut the sheep`s cheese into small, fine cubes and place on the tarte flambée. Cut the peppers into small pieces and the onions into thin rings. Halve the cherry tomatoes. Spread everything on the tarte flambée. If you like, you can also add olives. Finally, sprinkle some grated Emmentaler over the tarte flambée.
In the preheated oven it takes about 10 minutes on the highest setting, pushing the tray onto the lowest rail. Be sure to keep an eye on the tarte flambée. Sometimes it goes very quickly.
As a main meal, we each eat a tarte flambée for two, the dough is not very thick.
