Instructions

  1. Drain the kidney beans, corn and jalapenos, cut the cucumber and onion into small sticks. Press the garlic and add everything to the diced tomatoes. If you want to arrange the salad nicely, you can also use a transparent bowl and layer all the ingredients.
  2. The sauce should always be mixed with the vegetables immediately before serving, otherwise they will be too soft. The salad is served sprinkled with sunflower seeds, grated cheese and tortilla chips.
  3. I tried this recipe once at a friend from Texas and immediately fell in love. Unfortunately, her food blog is no longer online and I didn`t want this recipe to be forgotten. I changed the quantities slightly and adapted the recipe to ingredients that are easy to find in Germany.
