Heat half of the oil in a pan and fry the minced meat for 5 minutes over medium heat while stirring. Then pour into a colander to drain the fat.
Now heat the remaining oil in the pan and sauté the onions with the garlic, cumin and cayenne pepper for 5 minutes. Add the minced meat again and fry for another 5 minutes.
Peel the red onion and cut into rings. Wash and quarter the tomatoes, cut the cheese into narrow strips. Wash the lettuce and cut into bite-sized pieces.
Arrange on four plates and top with the minced meat. Garnish with onions, tomatoes and strips of cheese. Crumble the tortilla chips over it and pour 2 tablespoons of the salsa over each serving. Mix the lime juice and olive oil together and drizzle over them.
The minced meat served on the salad also looks very decorative.
