Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes, peel them, let them cool down (preferably boil them 1 day in advance) and cut them into not too thin slices. Roughly cut the cooked beef. Finely chop the onion.
  2. Heat the oil in a large pan and roast the onion in it. Add the potatoes, season with salt, pepper, marjoram and, if you like, with caraway seeds. Add the meat and roast until golden brown, turning frequently.
  3. Heat some butter in a pan, crack open the eggs and fry the fried eggs. Serve the fried eggs with the Gröstl.
  4. Another side dish is coleslaw or green salad.
  5. If you like, you can add bacon to the meat (makes the whole thing a little more spicy and fatter). We`re not talking about the calories in this dish. I only noticed that this dish was ordered more often at low temperatures.
