Ingredients
Toast bread – 8 slices
Canned fish (sprats or any small fish) in oil – 1 can
Let’s start making the pies by cutting off the crust from each piece of toast bread.
Using a rolling pin, lightly roll out the pieces of bread.
Lubricate the surface of each piece with 1 teaspoon. pesto sauce.
Put one fish on a piece of bread.
We wrap a piece of bread stuffed with a roll.
Using the cling film, wrap the roll in “candy”.
We do this with all the pieces of bread. We send bread rolls with fish to the freezer for 10 minutes, thanks to this, the pies will better keep their shape during frying.
While the bread rolls are cooling, prepare everything for the breading. Pour flour and breadcrumbs into flat saucers. Beat the egg with a fork and a pinch of salt. We take out pies from the freezer, remove the film. Roll each pie, first in an egg, then in flour, again in an egg, and at the very end – in breadcrumbs.
Deep-fry bread pies with fish for 4-5 minutes. We spread the finished fried pies on a paper napkin to get rid of excess oil.
Delicious, quick, and easy-to-make toast pies with canned fish are ready!
