Peel off the garlic cloves and dice finely (do not press). Put in a saucepan with the olive oil and heat over medium heat. Peel and dice the onion and add to the saucepan as soon as the oil bubbles (but be careful not to turn the garlic brown). Mix the garlic and onions and fry over a higher heat. Then deglaze with the cream, add the tomato paste and stir everything together. Season with salt, pepper and the herbs and let simmer for a while.
