Wash the tomatoes, remove the stalk and cut the tomatoes into slices. Cut the mozzarella into slices as well.
Pour the tomato and mozzarella slices into the buttered casserole dish. Sprinkle everything with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper and drizzle with the olive oil.
Baked in the oven at 200 degrees for approx. 20 minutes.
Drizzle with pesto and garnish with chopped basil before serving.
