Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini in plenty of salted water according to the instructions on the packet until al dente, drain and set aside.
  2. Caution: do not add too much salt to the water, as the chicken broth is already very spicy!
  3. Now add the cream, tomato paste and chicken broth to the saucepan in which the tortellini were previously cooked and stir well. Add the cooked ham cut into small pieces (or torn into pieces) and the frozen peas and continue stirring.
  4. Bring to the boil briefly, add the pasta and fold in well.
  5. Finally, add the parmesan to the sauce, mix well, season with freshly ground pepper and serve very hot.
  6. Depending on how quickly the cream has boiled away or the sauce has thickened, always add a little more cream - the pasta must be coated in the sauce at the end!
  7. This is one of my favorite recipes as it tastes great and is also very quick to prepare. (Above all, you only need a single saucepan!).
  8. Also very suitable as a small lunch for children.
