Instructions

  1. First preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Fry the gyros well in a pan. Meanwhile, cut the peppers into small cubes and add to the gyros in the pan for about 3 - 4 minutes. Cut the spring onions into small rings.
  3. Grease the baking dish and put a thin layer of chips in it and sprinkle lightly with cheese. Place a little gyros with paprika on the chips and lightly pour the hollandaise sauce over them. Then layer the chips, cheese, gyros, paprika and hollandaise sauce until the ingredients are used up. At the end, add the spring onion, spread the rest of the hollandaise sauce on top and sprinkle with the rest of the cheese for gratinating.
  4. Put in the oven for 15 minutes.
  5. For the dip, mash a ripe avocado with a fork, add the crème fraîche and mix. Season with a pinch of salt, a splash of lemon juice and a small pinch of paprika powder and round off, then stir well.
  6. Serve the casserole with the dip.
  7. Tip: If you like it spicy, you can add chillies or jalapeños to the recipe.
