Instructions

  1. For people who are in a great hurry in the morning - like me:
  2. Put on the kettle and have all the ingredients ready. For the basic recipe, put the oat flakes (works with both tender and hearty ones) in a bowl and pour double the amount of boiling water over them. Personally, I like to add chia seeds and ground flax seeds to make it swell even better.
  3. To refine my porridge, I use here e.g., Cocoa, cinnamon and honey, which I simply stir into the porridge while it swells. But you can vary it freely depending on your own taste.
  4. In addition, I like to stir in a large spoonful of crispy muesli or granola, but you can also try a lot here. I can also recommend fresh or dried fruit.
  5. By the time all the ingredients have been stirred in, the porridge is usually already swollen. At the end I add a large shot of soy milk, about half a cup, until the consistency I want is achieved.
  6. Depending on which type of oat flakes you use and whether you add chia seeds or similar, the swelling time can differ slightly. I just recommend trying a little yourself and once you have found the right procedure, it goes really super fast and you have a delicious and healthy, warm breakfast with just 2 minutes of work.
